Medical Licensure

All house officers must have either a permanent or temporary license to practice medicine and surgery in the State of Missouri prior to starting their appointment. Applications for a temporary license are available through the house staff manager. The individual house officer must handle applications for permanent licensure with the Missouri State Board of Registration for Healing Arts. The cost of temporary licensure is borne by Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The cost of a permanent license is borne by the individual house officer.
